Where are the best opportunities for your child to succeed? If there was a way to give your child access to a fun and challenging program where they could learn about leadership, earn the respect of their peers, gain confidence in themselves and have fun in the process, is that something that you would be interested in? The Civil Air Patrol provides a Cadet program for youth between 12 and 18 years old providing the opportunity for youth to grow and become responsible, productive adults. The experiences and training youth receive in the Civil Air Patrol are priceless and create positive memories for a lifetime. The Waukesha County Civil Air Patrol is looking for youth to be a part of a productive team, studying careers in STEM fields, alongside other high-functioning peers. If you know of any youth that are looking to excel in a program like that, then the Civil Air Patrol may just be for them!

CyberPatriot

The Waukesha Civil Air Patrol participates in a nation-wide competition for youth to train and show what they have learned in an exciting competition to secure a computer network and stop cyber attacks.  If your child is interested in a career in computer science, this is great training that builds confidence in computer security and can give young adults a definite advantage in the work-place.

Flight Simulators & Training

If your child is interested in flying or careers related to aviation, CAP is the place for them!  Cadets in CAP get to fly in the one of the CAP Cesnas as well as glider flying as part of their annual membership.  Other flying opportunities are also available including flight simulators, training from certified pilots and opportunities to learn and demonstrate your knowledge on various aerospace topics like powered flight, rockets, balloons, airports and many more.

US Air Force Auxillary

Being the official auxillary of the US Air Force, cadets get access to experiences on actual military bases and get to talk with various active military working on those bases. This can give cadets valuable exposure to what careers are available in relation to aviation, both in the military as well as private and commercial aviation. About 10% of all Air Force Academy cadets got their start in CAP.
